Dr. Becky Fanton obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Iowa, where she specialized in personality assessment and clinical neuropsychology. She completed her internship and residency in Clinical Neuropsychology at Brown Medical School, as well as obtained addition postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh.
She is a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and Director of the Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Her area of research expertise is change in emotion and cognition in healthy aging and in older adults with memory disorders. She also has scholarly interests in Learning Disorders and Concussion. She has expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of neurocognitive disorders of adolescence, adulthood, and later life.

Dr. Fanton is board certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Clinical Neuropsychology. She is a fellow of the American Psychological Association, as well as of the Association for Psychology Science. She has a licensed psychologist provider in Massachusetts since 2005.
